November 7, 2025Room Divider: Handcrafted in collaboration with Japanese expert Edwin Molenaar

Designers Elisabeth and Victor combine sustainability and functionality in collaboration with Japanese expert Edwin Molenaar
Elisabeth and Victor of LINFIN present a new creation: a handcrafted room divider that embodies their philosophy of beauty with less. Inspired by Japanese Shoji dividers and reimagined with natural materials oak wood, pure linen, and vegetable‑tanned Italian leather. The piece transforms a bedroom into a minimalist sanctuary.
Dutch woodworker Edwin Molenaar, who spent 30 years in Japan, explains:
“Shoji dividers reflect understated luxury—spaces that are both functional and beautiful. This aligns perfectly with LINFIN’s vision.”

True to their ethos, no screws were used; instead, hand‑stitched leather binds the panels, echoing the craftsmanship of LINFIN’s bags. Each divider is made to order, with only one example currently on display at their Gallery - Boutique in Maastricht.
For those who value sustainability and artistry, LINFIN invites visitors to experience the design firsthand—and to co‑create bespoke versions tailored to their interiors.
